It makes me shudder to think what that plane and the White House smells like - Purell mixed with old man sweating pits & balls and stale big mac wrappers.

We don't send US presidents to jail. We vote them out, we might impeach them at worst. But they don't go to jail.

He has scammed the world his whole life and never does anything wrong. Never admits to making a mistake. There may be a part of him that knows other people close to him are in trouble, but I think he will be BIGLY surprised when the marshalls show up with the hand cuffs.

He's such a con...always weaseled out...I read folks talking about it, but can't wrap my head around it yet. I still think he'll find a way to Nixon out and tell the Bleating Sheep that "He Won".

God, I hope I'm wrong.

One possible reason he wasn’t called as a witness is he could be a target.

That said, has trump grifted enough from taxpayers that he has been able to pay down his debts to Russia, the Saudis and others?

Then he puts himself in the spotlight by running for president. There is a disconnect form reality here. He has never thought of himself as a criminal. He is going to go to jail a very bitter man.

He will delay, he will get a pardon, he will settle for a cash payment, he will claim medical issues prevent incarceration, he will flee the country, whatever, or some combination of the above.

Our system is not very good at holding very rich and powerful people accountable.

And the next one will be much worse for our country. He needs to be made an example of our system of justice, or the rule of law only applies to some Americans , not the powerful or wealthy.

we are setting a terrible precedent on future Presidential behavior. I had no interest in sending Bill Clinton to jail for getting a BJ from a consenting adult, but policy changes based on kompromat or personal financial gain that hurt our countries longterm interests are grounds for criminal prosecution on charges of treason. Trump obviously didn't think this through when he elected to run for POTUS. Or maybe he had no choice. Maybe he should have given himself up in 2016 and asked the Feds for witness protection.

He is so unhealthy looking and under so much stress it seems to me the odds he croaks first are much higher.

But there are so many scenarios that could take place it is not out of the realm of possibilities.

He could be indicted after he leaves office, of course; but what might be more frightening for him in the near future is that the House Dems are able to subpoena his tax returns and other financial data that show he's not actually rich at all, but deeply in debt and that many of the creditors are Russian.
