Kanye and Kim have their own private Firefighters

As multiple devastating wildfires raged across California, a private firefighting crew reportedly helped save Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s home in Calabasas, TMZ reported this week. The successful defense of the $50 million mansion is the most prominent example of a trend that’s begun to receive national attention: for-hire firefighters protecting homes, usually on the payroll of an insurance company with a lot at risk.

for insurance policies in high-fire-risk areas to include a private fire-fighting provision--at no extra charge, which I find hard to believe. Asked which companies provided this benefit, he said all kinds of insurers do, from Chubb, which is high-end, to that USAA insurance for vets and their families.

It makes sense that insurers would offer this coverage, maybe at no extra cost, because it would be lots cheaper for them to fund private fire-fighters than to reimburse for a multi-zillion dollar mansion destroyed by fire.

It is possible, too, according to this guy, to hire private fire-fighters with no relation to your insurance company.

Because as a high risk job, the taxpayers shouldn’t be required to foot the bill if harm were to fall to them while in the kardashians employ.
