He is also the best foil to Trump. The matchup is a very bad one for Trump.

I think any major Democrat can win the popular vote, but the EC doesn't favor Democrats.

Biden gets ups Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, likely Ohio, and Florida. And Nevada and Arizona. Plus all the Blue States. That's a win.

I want Trump gone. I think that won't be as easy as some here seem to think (given the EC).

I'd like Cory Booker to be president. Strategically, Biden is our best bet for a sure win. I'm going with strategic thinking.

He will be our nominee. Others will compete for the VP slot.

And Biden's history with the Thomas-Hill hearing will not go over well in the Me Too era. Plus, we don't need to try shattering Trump's record for oldest person to take office.

Give me Harris and a running mate such as Beto or Castro or Landrieu or Klobuchar or Booker. And we'll see record Democratic turnout. We'll take back MI, PA and WI. We'll win North Carolina. We'll possibly take Georgia, Florida and Arizona. The days of a candidate winning 400+ electoral votes are long gone, but another 2008-esque victory is possible.

Those who think we need to nominate an old white dude are out of touch with our electorate. Forget the name recognition polls and look at who we're electing.

Beto running again for the US Senate, winning the seat and getting his feet wet in national politics before being rushed into the WH. I think he's a great candidate who definitely has the 'poetry' part of campaigning down. Now he needs a chance to master the 'prose' of leadership, a winning combination for the future.

he needs more seasoning and an ability to grow and grow into wider connections, networks and leadership roles. Also think his potential for the future is excellent. If he wants it.

Just don't think the timing is right for 2020 when we're going to need someone to hit the ground running, no hesitation or learning curves required. O'Rourke, Abrams and Gillum, the stars of 2018, are definitely people to watch. They are the future which stretches beyond the next election.

Just my personal opinion.

Doesn't happen. There are no relay legs in politics.

We need someone who aspires to two terms and is prepared to serve two terms. Otherwise the public rejects the weak compromise premise and I don't see how anyone could blame them.

Fine, he can be the lovable old uncle that makes cute gaffes, but I for one will never forget his part in pushing the Bankruptcy Act in 2005, making sure that student debt can never be forgiven through bankruptcy.

Call For Beto to Run in 2020
Robert Francis "Beto" O'Rourke for President of the US

Please SIGN THE PETITION at:

https://www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/836/708/820/

WHY URGE BETO TO RUN?

Beto’s unvarnished approach is refreshing to older people, and intoxicating to the younger generation.
- Mikal Watts, a San Antonio-based lawyer

“He is the real deal . . . charismatic . . . thoughtful . . . able”
- Cappy McGarr, a Dallas-based investor

The Democratic Party has historically liked young, ambitious and aspirational people like . . . Robert Kennedy or a Barack Obama.

(Beto) is a game changer . . . you can’t deny the electricity and excitement around the guy.
- Robert Wolf, an investment banker

. . . he is charismatic as heck

. . . and Democratic voters are craving for newer faces outside the traditional Northeast / California corridors. Even in Texas . . . has a lot of “wow factor”, and one could easily say that although he did not win this time . . . He would carry Texas in a National campaign!
- Steve Westly, former California state controller

PLEASE MAKE COPIES of this support for Beto and Post / Pass on to like-minded friends

1000+ races to win between now and then.

No to Biden though I do hope he jumps in. I think beating him in the primaries will give our winning candidate even more gravitas and I do like it when the Biden of today is out there sharing our positions and attacking Republicans.
