I feel terribly for those kids.. I'm hoping it will either be legally
challenged or unfunded by the newly Democratic House.

I feel there really must be pushback on this, though.. Some judges have overruled some of Trump's worst decisions on the Immigration/detention issue, so one has hope.

(3,259 posts)We really need to turn the corner in this country. We have the ability to be great in so many ways yet are rapidly marching in a different direction. We have a seriously checkered record but have shown the capacity to do right. It's right there in history, alongside our capacity to harm. What is frightening to me is the pace we are currently marching toward the dark side, specially at the federal level. Getting congress is great for us and should slow that pace. It should also bring a certain amount of transparency and accountability to our elected officials. Still, with all of the hate being fomented and harm being done we need to make more drastic changes. We are under social and economic assault.
Thanks again.
