We know that Trump is a criminal

So what can we do?

Only the congress can impeach him and only the Senate can convict him.

About 20 or so Republicans are needed to convict him and remove him from office (added to the votes of Democratic Senators).

Between his domestic and foreign entanglements, Trump, and virtually everyone who is part of his administration, can be considered criminals.

So why is he still occupying the White House?

Because the criminal organization, otherwise known as the Republican Party is protecting him.

Time for them to throw in the towel.

One of the worst criminals in the history of America is at the top of the chain.

Wake up, GOP. He's toast. Time to walk away to save your own asses.

And anyone that stills cares about that thing called "truth" knows that Trump can no longer, legitimately occupy the Oval Office.

The only question left is whether or not 20 people in the Republican Party believe in truth, or justice, or America, will do the right thing?

McConnell, Ryan and the rest of the leadership are all neck deep in the Russia scandal. They all took money, they all knew and did nothing about it. To take him down is to take themselves down.

No matter what comes out, up to and including flat out treason, they will not act and the cult will never abandon them.

This is a serious problem without a viable solution.

Unless they know they are going to lose more layers of skin that trump can protect, they'll fall on a sword for him. But the second they realize they are being hung out to dry. . . I'm sure they will flip.

The inaction of the Congressional Republicans to do the right thing and remove Trump, Pence, and others even with compelling evidence of wrong doing, will come back to haunt them. People will be responding in ways Republicans did not plan for. They will not be able to be seen in public without their constituents confronting them.

the General Election of 2020 is going to be a bloodbath of many Republicans losing their seats in both the House, Senate, and eradicating the stench of Trump from the White House.

They still own the South and much of the West.

Wealthy Republicans will keep voting for them so they can get wealthier.

As for the rest, you know that racism/bigotry is the GOP not-so-secret weapon. Look at that openly racist woman who just won in Mississippi. People will consistently vote for their hatreds over their own financial interests and well being.

Barring an ironclad contract with every democratic senators signature stating that it starts and stops with Trump, every other republican gets full amnesty, And that no current or former republican senator will be investigated or prosecuted for anything related or unrelated to the trump situation.

Cause if he goes down.. they go down. They are no less complicit. They have no incentive to "throw in the towel". In fact, they have to make sure that his rear is covered, no matter the cost to anyone else.

Nixon resigned so Ford could pardon him.

Suppose 20 or so Repuke Senators make a deal to give up Trump so they don't go to jail?

Seems like a lot of other people are rolling over on Trump. Why not add 2 dozen or so Senators?

Or, what if Trump rolls over on a few dozen Senators? I don't think Trump is smart enough to orchestrate that though. He can't tell the guilty from the not so guilty. He thinks everyone is a dumber more gullible form of him. But he could offer to resign in exchange for a pardon and we are still stuck with the crazy man Pence.

Oh, Oh, Oh here is one....Suppose Trump and Pence offer up their resignations in exchange for pardons from Nancy? Or just think of all the possibilities.......

They have the senate, they have the scotus, and they have a plan and plenty of evidence that a combination of gerrymandering, electoral fraud, and voter supression can hold them a senate majority, and therefore extend the scotus majority. They know theirs a timer ticking down to future elections, and the plan is hold official power long enough to pervert the system enough to hold power permanently. By any means necessary, up to and including violence. They already cast their lots on this plan, and done so in such a way there is no turning back.

Trump ain't gonna resign. Hes not the sort to admit defeat. If we manage to overcome their shenanigans and retake the house, senate, boot him from office, let justice take its course.. He will still be tweeting his self perceived awesomeness from prison.

You are counting on conscience from people who do not posses it. They put ALL their money(and their job titles and their wives and children and souls) on a trash hand, with the clear knowledge that they will need to cheat just avoid Losing everything they value, much less get a payout.

I have this fantasy that Mueller can send the entire Republican Party to jail. Maybe a new prison will have be built to hold them all.

And hopefully, it will be one of those "privatized" prisons where they'll have to pay for decent food and clean water. After all, these are guys who were always for privatizing everything.

Those who wrote the Constitution were sane people.

In no way could they have foreseen that countless Americans would vote for an insane man.
