I expect it from fox but cnn and msnbc keep

Continuing business dealings during the campaign is not, by itself, illegal.

Bribing foreign officials to do the deal is.

Lying about it to Congress is. Lying to the special counsel or the FBI about it is.

Lying to the public is kind of a squishy area. Yeah, Nixon's impeachment charge included lying to the people, but it's not forgone that he would have been convicted on that specific count. Nixon bailed because they had much more serious charges than that.
