(102,006 posts)You shrink as you age.
The reason he says he's 6'3" is to game the BMI.

(102,006 posts)At 6'3'' 239 is overweight, at 5'11" 239 is obese.

(77,271 posts)I was 5'9" in college and i'm 5'8 1/2" now. That's only a half inch in 45 years. Could i be that far off the norm?

(77,271 posts)He really does weigh 239 pounds. Well, excluding the legs!
Johnny2X2X
(24,435 posts)He's older now, old people shrink a couple inches due to spine compression over time. He wears high heeled shoes to try to look taller.
My guess is he's 6-0 even and weighs about 270.

(3,843 posts)than her purported height of 5'11' too. Michelle Obama is 5'11' and in photos of them together Michelle appears taller.
RockRaven
(19,749 posts)and Obama is 6'1" -- and that's a measurement I trust more than any that has ever been given for Trump. So take some off for the hair and Dump's at 6'0" or less. Even less if you assume he wears thicker heeled shoes than Obama (i.e. "lifts" ), which seems like something Dump would do.
I bet if you got him out of shoes and measured to the top of his scalp he's be scraping 5'11" but not more.

(77,271 posts)I was not one of those who lied about how tall i was, but i had friends who did.
Weird thing is that i knew i was 5'7" in my Jr. year of HS, and my cousin who lived with us was 6'1". Guy we hung around with was between us, but closer to me and insisted he was 6 foot a half inch. It was obvious to anybody with working eyes that he was not a half inch shorter than my cousin. More like a half inch taller than me.
His brother who was at least an inch shorter than me, insisted he was 5'9". We had a couple other dudes we knew like that too.
The only guys, other than me and my cousin that didn't lie about it were tall guys.
But, by college, i knew almost nobody who lied about their height.
All which brings me to the arrested development aspect of PINO who at 70 years old still feels a need to lie about his height.

(10,314 posts)I was bummed in HS when I figured 5'7 was going to be about it for me. Then I learned most of the hotshoe AMA Class C motorcycle guys were my size. Since that was the direction I was headed at the time....Hot Dawg! No more worries.
Before my dad passed, every time I saw him he seemed to get shorter and shorter. More recently, my son who's 29 years of age today, seems to be growing. Not likely, and I know what that means. I used to be able to pin him too. I won't be doing that anymore.
I guess I'm on track too.

(77,271 posts)I was 5'7" in junior year. I was a starter on the basketball team
But, I was only a decent player
But, I could jump out of the gym, so height didn't mean much
If you weren't 6'8" and quick height meant nothing to me
For the rest of kids my age, being average height or less was probably a much bigger deal!
And I knew I was going to be a scientist and basketball was just a game.

(10,314 posts)He was 5'6 his HS senior year and played on the varsity basketball, baseball teams at his large HS. Athletic as hell. As a kid, I remember him walking around on his hands, up and down stairs, all the while the change in his pockets falling out and us kids screaming and yelling, "more, more." ....Excuse me a second, got a slight tear in my eye.
Not me though, no sir. I think I was able to swat the bottom of the net, like only once, as many times as I tried. Not much of a standing jump here. A couple of years later though, I discovered I could go fairly fast around a track on a motorcycle, but that comes to an end, too.
Well Professor, second time today I nudged a thread.
