I knew a priest who, for a time, was part of the Episcopal diocese that includes Houston, and was assigned to the Bushes' parish, so she got to know the family pretty well.

She said that, while she and GHWB disagreed about pretty much everything, he did have a sense of integrity and honor that he tried to live by.

She said that Dubya, OTOH, "was always a bully."
