Donald Trump was recorded off camera saying "get me out of here" to an aide at the end of the G20 summit in Argentina, as he walked off stage even as other world leaders gathered for a photo.
The US president was also scheduled to pose for the final photos, as the meeting in Buenos Aires came to an end after a whirlwind two days.
But footage shows Mr Trump shaking hands with Mauricio Macri, the Argentinean president, before rapidly walking off stage.
Mr Macri, who stretched out a hand after him, appeared confused by the US leader's behaviour and was left alone in front of the photographers.
An aide then rushed across the stage after Mr Trump who, off camera, can be heard saying "Get me out of here."

Ok, this sort of behavior on our own soil is bad enough. When it is at a major world summit, it's infinitely worse. These world leaders ought to know better by now. Just stick the Rump in a padded cell with a TV tuned to Fox News. Leave him there for the entirety of the summit. It's not like he's going to accomplish anything by mingling with the real leaders.

(7,604 posts)He knows he's lost his political capital at ANY international gathering. His only happy spot is a domestic political rally. Not only is Mueller closing in on Trumpy's criminal enterprises, but Trumpy is also found to be losing esteem and political backing in EVERY corner of domestic affairs. No one should be saddened by this development.

(9,426 posts)have been avoided. The gop LOVED the Russian money pouring in to their coffers, so they tolerated mediocrity in the WH. After demanding almost perfection from democratic President Obama, they soon lowered their (supposed) standards for the worst person EVER to run for the WH. He will be a stain on the gop for many, many years to come. They are 100% responsible for the downgrading of the US worldwide.

(90,017 posts)Hillary would not have been an international laughingstock, publicly embarrassing all of America to the world. Hillary would not cut in front of a new member of the international group and push him aside so he could stand in front and hog the cameras. Hillary would have been gracious and charming - and everybody else from all those other nations would be wanting to be seen with her and to be seated next to her and to talk to her and be photographed with her.
Shed be no pariah. Nor would WE be thought of that way as a nation. Like were becoming now because of who we chose for our leader.
And shed have picked a smart group of White House staffers and associates, as well as Cabinet officers and others. And there wouldnt be so many important and essential jobs unfilled. Like all the ambassadors we still dont have.

She would have let Putin have it over his recent activities with seizing Ukraine sailors and ships and pressed the G20 for severe sanctions against Russia until they relent.
She would have been a real stateswoman like she had been as Secretary of State that did not require any guidance to conduct herself with poise, dignity and grace.

(59,521 posts)Same as the tree lighting. Neither of those were stressful situations. This is not caused by the immediate situation. This is him knowing he's going down.
And in combination with him knowing he's going down, he was treated as an infantile pariah at the summit. Which is the appropriate way to treat him. It is just possible that he is being smacked in the face for the first time in his life with what he really is, and with how others really see him.
I shouldn't find it delicious, but I do.
