What a week

I think it would be instructive to pause and consider just how momentous this week was in unraveling the attempted fascist takeover of our Republic.

Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller III delivered several raking broadsides to the SS Trump. (Pun intended.)

First he let Trumpworld know that he knows they were, to put it bluntly, trying to ratfuck him, and that he was miles ahead of them.
No doubt both Donald Trump and Paul Manafort were totally wrongfooted when Mueller rescinded Manafort’s plea deal for continuing to lie for and collude with Trump. People like Trump and Manafort are used to dealing with easy marks whom they can con. They can’t conceive that anyone can see through their scams, so are completely unprepared for someone like Mueller, even though, logically, they should know better.

snip

But Thursday wasn’t done with us yet. Buzzfeed came out with a story that said that as part of the Trump Tower Moscow deal, Russian president Vladimir Putin was going to be given the $50 million penthouse. In common parlance, this is known as a “payoff”.

The SS Trump is taking on water and sinking fast. He’s now in Buenos Aires, watching dictators Putin and Mohamed bin Salman yuck it up as they compare notes on how many people they’ve had killed, and it must rake at him like fingers on a chalkboard that he can’t do the same thing to his enemies. But that’s the strength of our country, and what will save us. There are too many centers of power for one man to try to dominate the entire Republic. A president has power, but it is nowhere near absolute. It’s constricted and hemmed in, even when Congress abdicates its co-equal status. (That’s about to change in a month.) And much power resides in the states, and in the courts. Today news came out that Hungary’s dictator Viktor Orban is consolidating even more power. How envious Trump must be. How fortunate that we remain the United States.

Brilliantly put, she! Unfortunately there are a lot of RFs around. Here's to Robert Mueller and the Democratic Party taking them all down.

has been returning. Before there were flashes of hope, but the end is near for donald. I still worry about wag the dog scenarios, but overall things are so much better. The bottom line will be trump and the majority of the gop being exposed as a traitorous and criminal mob family who were, at heart, grifters, liars, and thieves. The worm has turned.

The criminal enterprise must be fully exposed and made a public example.

No going along to get along, as we have done in the past.

This has been an existential fight. Must bear witness to future generations.

Let's hear it for Special Counsel Robert Mueller!

I couldn't figure out why trump asked Russia if they were listening to find HRC's emails in the summer of 2016. It was surreal and troubling.

Here's hoping that all responsible are held accountable. To be honest, I don't know how long it's going to take our country to recover from this disaster.

He had me back in 2004 with his keynote.

He has always been an inspiration to me as Michelle and both Sasha and Malia. An extraordinary family that will inspire generations to come.

All beautiful in so many ways.
