The Trump administration is preparing to make another attempt at honoring one of the biggest unfulfilled promises of the presidents election campaign: a $1 trillion upgrade of the nations road, rail and energy infrastructure, the Wall Street Journal reports.
That program failed to materialize during President Trumps first year in office, as the administration pursued a repeal of the Affordable Care Act, which failed, and a major tax cut, which he signed into law in December 2017.
Playbook: Mitch McConnell has said no thanks to this in the past.

(10,437 posts)raiding SS, Medicare trustfunds, cutting benefits and sacking Medicaid....no infrastructure plan is going to happen until taxcuts are repealed.
2021 is the soonest under a democratic led govt.

(22,037 posts)Trump is going to try something constructive? You mean, like build something because that's what he does?
Bullshit.
Trump hasn't built a building in years. He's merely licensed his name (!) to be slapped onto someone else's building.
Who wants Trump's name on their apartment building today? No one. There are apartments in New York and Chicago and elsewhere where they are removing his toxic moniker from their buildings.
Trump has destroyed his own brand! It's a remarkable turnaround.
Trump ain't gonna build nothin'.
