My yearly benefits are maxed out on my dental insurance.
No problem though!
I'll be posting my Go Fund Me link in a separate OP.
I mean, that's what "they" expect people to do, right?
If the Go Fund Me doesn't work, I'll just sell all of my shit. I might get enough to pay for the tooth fix. I'll probably tell them to just pull the fucking thing. It will be cheaper than a crown. Hey, while he's in there, he can pull all of the fucking things so I won't have any future dental expenses. My insurance probably doesn't pay for dentures, so I'll just go without them. It doesn't bother me...I'll get used to gumming my food.
So let's see, that's the tooth story.
Now, I'm using opiates for hellish back pain. Mid-back. Not lower back like I usually have. Thoracic spine. The problem is, I will not take more than one pill a day. Ever. The last thing I need is to become addicted. I have degenerative disk disease, however, this acute pain is a different animal. I have a VERY high pain tolerance, but let me explain this pain to you. It made me black out last week. I was sitting at my desk, felt the pain hit, saw a flash of light, and woke up a couple of seconds later with a bump on my head and my face on the desk. They won't do a MRI until I try physical therapy first. Oh yeah? How about a fucking diagnosis first Mr. Insurance company? I'm not letting anyone touch me until they know what they are trying to treat. So, I'll continue on with my one pill a day, and try to fight off any suicidal thoughts.
Oh yeah, I'll be going under general anesthesia in a few weeks for some surgery. What was originally assumed to be a cyst...isn't a cyst. I have had exactly 8 outpatient surgeries on it this year. It is cut open, then it heals, then it fills up with nothing but blood, then I get it cut open again. Rinse and repeat. The surgeon is pretty sure it is not cancer. He is 90% sure. The tissue he biopsied was not cancerous. but he wants to do a deep dive into this thing to make sure. Anyway, the insurance company will find a way to deny this surgery too. Maybe I'll call them before the surgery. You know, as a courtesy, so they can get their best people on the case early...to figure out a way to decline the surgery.
If they deny the surgery, I'll just fucking cut-off the affected body part. I have a plumbers torch. Maybe I can use it to cauterize what is left in order to stop the bleeding. Anything to save the insurance company a few bucks.

(2,187 posts)I recently just finished a course of 8 drops per side on my compressed discs for 8 weeks. Dmso took my pain away and healed them, to the point where I dont even need to put it on anymore. I never took 1 pill.
Dmso also healed my patellar pain I had in my knees last spring. Wow that hurt. Never took a pain pill then either.
Dmso works fast and the beauty of it is this: over the days I found that I could go longer between treatments and when this happened, I would cut back a drop or two. With Big Pharma pain pills, a body needs more over time to work the same; whereas with Dmso you will use less.and less over time because it heals, too.
You can find it at any health food store. Please read up on the product's reviews and maybe watch some videos about it. It's my miracle substance that I couldn't live without. 60 Minutes Mile Wallace did a story about it 40 yrs ago; you could start there.
Best of luck.

(22,075 posts)And should be used with great care. It is still only supposed to be sold under that label, and not for "medicinal" purposes.
Runners started using it years ago for aches and pains. You had to be very careful about wearing anything nylon over it because it could transfer nylon into your body. You had to wear cotton.
I have used it on my horses from time to time, but very cautiously.
