I had voted for him three years before, so I didn't have a problem with that.
The best I'll say for him is that at least he had the good sense not to invade Baghdad, and to leave Saddam Hussein where he was. He knew what an endless bloodbath invading and occupying would be. Too bad he couldn't convince his colossal fuck-up of a son of that.
Anyone who thinks Iraq wasn't sufficiently punished for invading Kuwait never saw the 'Highway Of Death'.

I think he should have stepped in sooner at the end to devise a political solution instead of leaving the military to sort things out after military objectives were clearly won, but whatdoIknow.

I was in the Gulf when he and Casey asked the Iranians to hold the Hostages to help Ronnie Ray-gun get elected.
