Corsi and Stone are useless clowns. They were probably only peripherally involved in the Russian conspiracy. But they're HIGH PROFILE clowns who Trump watches on Fox News every day. Mueller is putting the squeeze on them, hoping Trump will pardon them, to add another two counts of obstruction of justice to his work. The same is probably true for Manafort.

Meanwhile, we haven't heard a peep about persons involved in connecting the Trump Tower computer servers to Putin's Alpha Bank, Cambridge Analytica helping Trump win the election with hacked DNC information; or Putin giving unofficial gifts to Trump by laundering crooked Russian realestate money through the Trump organization. That's where the REAL evidence of conspiracy will be found, and Mueller has kept a very low profile about that.

1. I wouldn't call Stone peripheral.

Maybe Corsi (who was basically an intermediary for Stone) but not Stone himself.

Stone has known Trump for decades and has known Paul Manafort for decades. They were all protégés of Roy Cohn. Stone was officially involved with the campaign before going underground but if he was a conduit for Wikileaks and was feeding info to Trump, he's a central figure. And he helped get Manafort onto the campaign.

Stone is--amongst others--a target of this investigation, let there be no doubt.

If that’s true, they weren’t peripheral to the conspiracy, they were right in the middle of it.
