Trump will never see a day of jail time.

Hear me out, and let's be practical. Any dreams of him in an orange jumpsuit are just fantasy. Even though he is a complete idiot and has no intention of learning anything, he is a huge security asset. No gen-pop, not even Club Fed. The only thing I can think of that might come closest to a presidents fate <former> would be the nicely furnished aquarium that held Noriega .

And even then, it would have to be guarded and policed by Secret Service because of classification issues. So he will end up a pariah sulking in his tower with no real consequences that you or I might have to deal with.

At the least, if found guilty his spawn will get VIP club fed treatment.

Im not trying to be Debbie downer, but because of his office, what he might have sponged up, and his 30% die hard rabid supporters, he will never face real justice.

She can also get him on many of the charges Manafort got nailed with at the state level
And they can hammer him financially so hard his business founded on a leveraged house of cards will probably come tumbling down.

He's pissed off the FBI. He's pissed off the CIA and intelligence community

He's got a whole bunch of people caught trying to lie about it.

This isn't a little burglary before a landslide victory.
This is consorting with the enemy to steal an election.
There is little redeeming here for him - it was all about self gain.

Probably not a popular opinion, but I don't feel we should be putting presidents in jail. The people who voted for the president will never believe it is legitimate anyhow.

Nixon, Reagan, both Bushes have gotten away with their crimes because prosecuting them would be too upsetting and not in be in the nation's best interests. All B.S. of course, just protecting the status quo and the powers that be. And that's how we ended up with Trump.

The Government of the United States will never imprison a former President. The optics on a global stage would be a cost too high....and this guy has already cost us plenty.

He'll get pardoned on Federal Crimes and get slapped with fines by the State investigations. Some of his family will no doubt get slapped with federal fines, but those who spend prison time...they will be the Scooter Libby's and after a bit of time, get commuted.
