Currently more than 100 children separated from parents at the southern border continue to remain in U.S. custody, as Trump administration continues to illegally block asylum seekers, who, like the Holy Family, also fled their homes to save their childrens lives. Is this what peace on earth looks like? Father Josoma asked. Its hard to say we are a people of peace when we are sending soldiers with tear gas to stop people.

At my old parish church, one of the priests was an artist who set up the Nativity scene with a background of Skid Row.

On a related note, since Jesus was a European looking white guy, yet born in the Middle East, TSA officers need to be trained to "randomly select" people who look like the Jesus paintings in most American churches. Make it mandatory.
For those who don't know, Jesus often looks considerably darker in the churches in non-white countries.

(10,476 posts)but when I look at that minus the story I think they don't want anybody to steal Jesus. OK, so I'm from Philadelphia. People steal Jesus out of Nativitys around here.
