Either she doesn't cooperate with USG and rots in jail hoping that the Kremlin will cut some deal with Trump to spirit her back to Russia; or she cooperates so she can get out of jail but lives the rest of her life in fear of a nasty death.

After Anna Chapman and the gang with her were caught, better believe that Russian intelligence learned how to send hard cases. Although Anna didn't give up anything and is a rich celebrity in Russia now. My guess, this current woman takes orders sent by Putin, if that means jail, she does it until a spy swap, if it means she flips, it's because Putin wanted her to like you said, and what she gives up is what he want her to give up.

By representing herself, she will have access to all prosecution evidence against her, not a bad spot if she is getting secret help.
