republicans refusing to convict if the evidence shows he is guilty, or an arrangement with Pence to pardon him of any wrong doing

...to the rest of the world. But I think it would be more embarrassing to not put Trump in prison.

Besides, it isn't really true. If a president went on a killing spree, that president would get indicted and sent to prison. As crazy as this country is, I can't believe he/she would get away with serial killing, for instance.
