9. I admit I can't take credit for the joke.

David Letterman once said this about Lloyd Bentsen. Letterman's joke was funny because when Bentsen ran for VP, I seemed like all the footage they had of him on the news was so old it was in black & white. Pence looks black & white right now.

Side bar: My dad knew Lloyd Bentsen during WWII. He was a pilot in my dad's bomber group in Italy. My dad sat next to him at dinner at one of their reunions when he was running for VP.
