Central Park Five’s legal battle officially over as federal judge signs off on $41 million wrongful conviction settlement

The Central Park Five case is officially closed.

A federal court judge on Friday signed off on the wrongfully-convicted quintet's $41 million settlement with the city, court records show. The deal "is an act of justice for those five men that is long overdue," Mayor de Blasio said in a statement after the filing.

"We can finally put this case behind us, and these five men and their families can begin to heal these wounds and move forward."

Meaning that Individual-1's "they're still guilty" claims on the campaign trail came after the city admitted fault.

Of course, I'm sure that matters little to I-1. They're black and they were accused, they must be guilty!

Matias Reyes as the rapist. And that was not his first rape either. He was guilty of a dozen of the most vicious rapes and beatings in Central Park that the NYPD cops ever investigated. He wanted to completely obliterate the women he attacked.

I had the honor of meeting Trisha Meili, the woman at the center of this case. She had hundreds of surgeries. He broke every bone in her head, in addition to dozens of other bones. She was in the hospital for over a year. Recovery will take the rest of her life.

That trmp would STILL call for five young innocent Black men to be executed for something they didn't do reveals the naked racist piece of shit that he is. Reyes confessed and detectives were able to piece together his life. He'll be locked away forever, left to rot in Auburn (NY). He will never be released or have the possibility of parole.

For trmp to keep up this nonsense about The Five, when Reyes is the clearly guilty demonstrates that it is his hatred of people of color, which is pathological, that motivates him, not justice.

3. Trump Is Still The Same Man Who Wanted The Central Park Five Executed

mpulsive and emotional reactions are Donald J. Trump’s trademark ― even more so than displaying his name in big gold letters on luxury buildings. These traits helped Trump win the presidential election, and they continue to harm innocent people every day.

For one of us, Trump’s impulsivity has had a deeply personal impact: When Raymond was just 14 years old, Trump called for his execution.

In 1989, two weeks after a female jogger was brutally raped, beaten and left for dead in Central Park, Trump paid $85,000 to place a series of ads in New York newspapers, calling for the state to “Bring Back The Death Penalty! Bring Back Our Police.”

While not explicitly calling for the death of the five teenagers who’d been charged with the attack in Central Park, the timing – and Trump’s own words – were clear.

It seems more than fair given that Donald is actually guilty of the crimes he is accused of.

That Trump keeps bringing this up aggravates me like the brother bullshit.

The facts are well known

Not sure why the OP is bringing it up again
