Aug 2012

The guy with the white shirt and sports jacket is her personal bodyguard, the guy in the suit is from hotel security. If you look closely, the punter was hanging in the revolving doors waiting for his chance. The hotel security completely misses him waiting there and then when he approached her proceeded to completely overreact. Poor advance work before the "bring her down" and then the classic overreaction to essentially nothing happening... You can see once she is outside she stops to sign things... More wannabe cops who act stupidly...

What city was this in???

To them there are two types of celebrity, "Good Signers" and "Bad Signers". Bad signers are celebs who don't wish to have their names flogged on the internet by non fans out to make a buck.

Similarly, should these guys have spent the time to figure out if it was a pen or a knife?

I was walking out of the Broadway Bar after a great tribute to John Lennon by Yoko, Gaga, Thurston Moore & Kim Gordon (from Sonic Youth), Tune-Yards, and RZA at the Orpheum in L.A. There were fans waiting in the alley alongside the Orpheum and as I walked to my car (parked nearby) I saw the scene & went to check it out. She could've easily walked straight to the SUV, but she was cool enouogh to sign some autographs for fans that had waited for a couple of hours. Someone posted it on YouTube...here ya go

Sun Aug 19, 2012, 04:42 AM
Aug 2012

The only reason this happened was because the rest of the hotel security guys did not have the revolving door secured. The punter just waited until she walked across the lobby from the lift and then WALKED INTO THE HOTEL, LOBBY!!! Big time security failure...Sure, the hotel security guy did the right thing, no one was supposed to have come up to her in the lobby, it looks like they had the crowd lined up outside the other door with bicycle racks on each side. You can see the rest of the hotel security guys bunched up at the door, with no one covering the OTHER DOOR INTO THE HOTEL!!! The punter looked professional so who cares about him anyway. Although to me, he was like the only one there actually doing his "job" correctly...

The first guy you see in the video, white bald guy in a blue suit is with LG's security team, he is the lobby guy on the LG team. In the beginning you can see him showing and sorta escorting the leggy woman who is probably LG's manager, out the door, and proceeds to forget who really is the golden goose. He has been down in the lobby for some time arranging their exit.. He is the one who tells the security guy who's with LG upstairs that the lobby is secure, the cars or whatever are in place, and everything is cool in the lobby, so lets get the fuck outta here... And then the black security guy brings her downstairs, accompanied by the hotel security guy, Rosey Grier...Either the hotel guys did not do what he asked them to do or he forgot to cover the other door with a hotel security guy.

Oooooops

Eastern Europe is fun to work in...

If you watch closely at the end, when Rosey Grier finally lets the punter up, he has, who only can be described as Lou Costello, kindly ask the punter to leave the hotel. Priceless!!!

I was so clueless then, I really only paid attention to computers and paleontology, that I hadn't connected this girl I'd had a nodding acquaintance with in high school with the pop singer she became.
