By Dan Desai Martin - December 20, 2018
Republican Gov. Matt Bevin is deeply unpopular as he prepares for a tough 2019 election in Kentucky.
While most Americans have to wait until 2020 to kick even more Republicans out of office, the people of Kentucky will have that opportunity in 2019, when Republican Gov. Matt Bevin is up for re-election.
And judging by the latest poll, Bevin should be very worried.
Eleven months before the election, more than half of Kentuckians (53 percent) disapprove of Bevins job performance, with a mere 38 percent approving, according to a Mason-Dixon poll.
Even more worrying for Bevin, he trails by eight points, 40 to 48 percent, in a head-to-head match-up with one of the Democratic front-runners, Kentucky Attorney General Andy Beshear.
Bevins tenure has been rocked by his reprehensible mishandling of massive teacher strikes in the state.
Kentucky teachers went on strike to fight for more education funding in April 2018, following Bevins refusal to spend more in a state that ranks 35th in preparing high school graduates for college.

Hey Kentucky..........................why did you put him in there in the first place, I mean really...................you voted against your best interests......................all he has been doing for the last three years is fucking you with that libertarian bull shit.....................
Then, you got Mitch McConnell, that POS ( how much did you get in the tax cut......anyone making less than $75,000 is going to get royally fucked this coming year when you file for 2018 taxes, that $24,000 dollars deduction for a married family, and a $10,000 dollar cap in your property (if you have state taxes) and mortgage payment, leaves everyone with around $35,000 to pay in taxes, do you understand what these assholes are doing) .................................
What have they really done for you.................not fucking thing, he wanted human being to work for health care, where some can't work, ...............................
November 3, 2020 cannot get here fast enough.....................

(3,231 posts)people out. I saw signs on big Baptists churches encouraging voting. Maybe they were polling places, but they got their pro-lifers out in force for Bevin.

Sitting on the sidelines and doing nothing works as well as voting FOR Matt Bevin.

(62,415 posts)going into an election that have pulled it out. Brownback and Walker's recall come immediately to mind. My take is that the combination of hackable voting machines, no audits and voter suppression laws have a magical Republican lean.
I say this just so people don't become to complacent if Bevin looks like he is beaten before it starts. Remember these folks stop at nothing to 'win' or steal an election.
