Wolf Blitzer tells Stephen Miller to calm down: 'We don't have to yell'

CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer attempted to "calm down" White House Senior Advisor Stephen Miller as he spoke about President Trump's proposed border wall on Thursday night.

“He wants to build the wall by getting the money now just like the president was very clear leading up to this funding fight…Right now as we speak, there is a surge of illegal immigration heading towards our country that presents a national crisis now. Not a month from now, not a year from now, right now. And this president took an oath, like every lawmaker in Congress to defend the citizens of this country. How many more citizens have to die in the pursuit of an open borders agenda?” Miller asked, with his voice steadily rising.

“Calm down a minute, we don’t have to yell. These are important policy issues that we’re discussing. The American people have a right to know where you and the president, the White House stands,” Blitzer responded.

The White House and Congress are currently in negotiations over a bill to partially fund the government before several departments run out of money by the end of Friday. Trump has demanded $5 billion in funding for the border wall with Mexico, a figure that would likely sink any bill in the Senate and possibly the House.
