bone in my body & made a conscious decision to not have kids. I figured I could also make up for those thoughtless (IMHO) people who have more than two so I would do what I could to help save the planet. I'm 63.5 years old and have never regretted my decision. My late husband and I were animal rescuers and fosters.

Nothing against people who have kids, but some of us just aren't cut out to be parents.

As for me, I had my tubes tied after having had one child, I was in my early twenties. I can''t tell you what I went through to even find a doc who would do it for me. This was in the early 1970s. I knew that one child would be all I could handle, monetarily and emotionally.

I just meant that it seems wrong to put a dollar value on that. My son, and now my granddaughter, are the best gifts in my life. To each their own, no judgment from me. I was an exec at a Planned Parenthood for a number of years, if that tells you anything.
