He gave up his seat in the November election, and was replaced by another Repuke Bryan Steil. I'm so happy that Ryan has more time to spend with his family in Wisconsin now.

so he was no longer a member of Congress once the 115th Congress was adjourned permanently and gavelled out "sine die" earlier this morning. With him gone, the next in line in the GOP leadership (who was re-elected) to pass the torch was the former Majority, now-Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy.
