(4,546 posts)shoes like that are not uncomfortable if they are well-made and bought to fit. Their toes are not squished into the pointy part of the toe of the shoe. That part is empty. Their toes are actually just past the edge of the shoe, where it is quite wide. They both look like low heeled pumps, too, so they shouldn't be causing pain that way, either. I've worn similar shoes without suffering, and am actually more comfortable in a low heel than a flat. So, it's probably not a big deal. I'm sure they can both afford to buy well-made shoes, and neither of them look like they are in pain to me.

(7,530 posts)I know women put up with a lot of brutal footwear in the name of fashion, but aren't pointy shoes designed to accommodate the toes way before the point closes in? I mean I would hope the point is just extra empty space and wearer's toes are in the wide part so they're not any more restricting than a rounded toe heel? Especially if the shoe is broken in properly and fits well.
I understand as a guy I might be clueless about this, but I can't imagine busy women who walk would ever choose pointed toes if they were extra uncomfortable outside of a costume-type situation.

(37,648 posts)How is it that they look shapely with those big boobies, but mine get big, I just look fat? Not fair! But seriously, they're rockin' it, in more ways than one. Did you notice their shoes are the same, except for the color?
It's so awesome to know these women are in charge. No more panels of old white men, gathered to rule on issues that affect women more than men. At least in the House.
On to the Senate!

(22,976 posts)Ive been saying to my wife for years now, that more and more women should be in the highest leadership positions.
Men have more than had their turn, and with a few exceptions, look at the mess things are in yesterday, today and tomorrow. Thats one of the reasons Barack Obama was/is so great hes a genuine, empathetic, strong man, who possesses such good character, intellect and confidence that he has no need (or time) to engage in pissing contests. He also had to bear every brand of racism, including some horrible urban folktales, and still he prevailed. THAT is a MAN.
But like a gemstone, there arent many men who have the strength and wisdom to match Obamas. So, yes, please, lets put more women at the controls to save us from our worst selves.
