Freepers are a freakin out. Todd Akin and his close ties with Ryan is a game changer.

Don't make the mistake of thinking Freepers have a sense of decency.

That being said, Akin's "Legitimate Rape" has them shit scared.

Here's an example of a Freeper who knows how serious this is,

"To: Arthurio

He needs to be gone...like tomorrow. Doing so will allow for Steelman to have a shot at actually winning, and head off a lot of the incessant media hype and criticism that will be coming in the days and weeks ahead. This just turned into a major issue, the kind of thing McCaskill loves to run on, just like the whole controversy with Michael J Fox and Parkinson’s blew up in 2008.

His comments can’t be defended, so he needs to step aside, for the good of the party and country as a whole, he clearly has no business being in government and McCaskill obviously recognized this when she funded his ads.

If a Democrat is paying for ad’s supporting a Republican candidate, it should have been a good sign to Missouri voters that this guy was a bit of a loon and then some.

But as expected the Freeper mouth breathers didn't take long to find a way to defend this stupid fuck. Why? Because he's pro life so they have to find a way of rationalizing what he said. eg.

"To: Arthurio

He couldn't’t really mean what it sounds like he said so maybe people should hang back and see if he can explain what he really meant. He’s adamantly pro-life.

Patience, please. Let’s see what happens.

Some of them are political realists who see that this is going to hurt GOP nationally.

One said that Akin has set Right to Life movement back by 30 years.

Total freakout.

a Repig to me is going to hear the following two questions only:

Why do you support rape?

and

Why do you hate women?

I hope to ask those questions while others are in earshot too.

I find this totally unbelievable.

We're finally going to get an explanation from Paul Ryan. I always wondered what Paul Ryan meant when he redefined rape as "forcible rape" in the bill HR 3. A bill that he co-authored with the infamous Mr. Akin, by the way.

Medicaid recipients are not allowed to use these funds to pay for abortions, except in cases of rape. Paul Ryan and Mr. Akin spent a great deal of effort and time--crafting a bill that narrowed the definition of rape to "forcible rape."

This would make it more difficult for poor women who are raped without overt violence--to get an abortion. They would be forced to carry those pregnancies to term if Paul Ryan and Mr. Akin had gotten their way.

The bill died because everyone with a functioning conscious was outraged.

Now, Paul Ryan will have a lot of time to explain what exactly "forcible rape" is and what the differences are between rape and "forcible rape."

SICK BASTARD.

going to be raped. Because as Akin said, "doctors have said that women secrete these secretions."

It's amazing to me that Akins has inserted his penis in women numerous times in his life without knowing what is going on in their vaginas.

it is refreshing to hear republicans say, "His comments cannot be defended." So often they parrot the RIDICULOUS defenses provided by their dittomasters - here they realize it simply cannot be done. Even the anti-choicers say WAIT AND SEE, which is a sure sign of desperation.

This one is just the same as an unrecoverable stall in an airplane - you either bail out or hit the ground.

GOP is extremely fortunate that this happened before any possibility of campaign appearances where Romney or Ryan appeared with Akin.

It is they who came up with the fanciful term, "forceable rape" as if one form of rape was more legitimate than others.

during rape that kill semen.

Well the Freepers have that answer too. From the same thread.

"To: PhxTM06
"Rape has no impact on whether or not a woman becomes pregnant, if the rapist doesn’t use a condom and ejaculates inside her, the odds of her becoming pregnant are the same as any other time."

Note the following from Physiciansforlife.org

Finally, factor in what is certainly one of the most important reasons why a rape victim rarely gets pregnant, and that's psychic trauma. Every woman is aware that stress and emotional factors can alter her menstrual cycle. To get and stay pregnant a woman's body must produce a very sophisticated mix of hormones. Hormone production is controlled by a part of the brain that is easily influenced by emotions. There's no greater emotional trauma that can be experienced by a woman than an assault rape. This can radically upset her possibility of ovulation, fertilization, and implantation.

This whole thing should get interesting this week. This dropped right into McCaskill's lap. Although she has been blue-doggish, I have still been worried about her seat there and now with this nutjob... I'm sure Foster Friess is proud that there are more like him out there!
