Sometimes I'm just embarrassed to be from Missouri....

....where recently bills were introduced to allow students in public schools to skip classes that might offend their religion, without being given an F for it. Of course, that's all well and good till a Muslim student wants to skip a class, or if he or she wants to pray in public, then the litigations begin.

Now we have todd 'legitimate rape' akin running for office, offending women the world over with his dark age concepts about contraception. Hell I used to think that anti evolution Kansas was an embarrassment, now Missouri is about to be taken over by tea bag maniacs too.

I know it's not my fault where I was born or happen to reside, but Christ on a crutch, if someone asks me where I'm from I'm just saying the midwest, which is slightly less embarrassing.

I don't want my state, or my country being associated with total dicks like todd akin, and I don't want the nation to be in the hands of such maniacs.

It's getting ugly out here folks, the prospect of another four years of President Barack Obama is driving many of the stupid right over the edge of sanity. Stay frosty.

reasons to cringe on a regular basis. When he shoots his mouth off, I call his office and let him know even though he is not my representative but because he represents my state.

this is not the Missouri I grew in. The only comfort I can take at this time is at least we aren't as crazy as Kansas. The stupid that is just across the state line is beyond belief.

many of the crazies that you see out there in elected office or as mouth pieces of the RW lunatics were originally born in PA (including Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul, Orrin Hatch, Robert Bork, Mark Levin, Michelle Malkin, etc).

Inhofe and Coburn, need I say more
As my younger brother says, when the media needs a kook they look no further than either inhofe or coburn.
And to think that 50 years ago we were a pretty progressive state, you wouldn't know that by our pols today though.

Proudly state you're from Missouri and that you're fighting to bring real sanity back. People will learn how dumb the school prayer resolution was and will eventually fix it. And there's no way Akin wins, which means that Missouri stays just a bit more purple instead of going redder.

Actually, the Akin comments could hurt quite a few of the Repubs trying to court the independent vote. Anyone in a picture with him could be hurt come election time. Missouri could actually turn a bit more blue this election, especially if the Akin-Ryan connection is constantly pounded into every ones heads.

I'm not from Texas originally, I am California born and raised, and this state isn't much better, with pRick Perry leading the pack of the stupid right.

It IS embarrassing.
