Prediction: the shutdown will end shortly after

Individual 1 breaks the record for the longest shutdown and shows what real tough guy he is. He can brag about it as a huge win.

Ok, wishful thinking. But it can’t hurt to plant the seed.

at which point he will quit in a huff and Pence will pardon him and his family. Then Pence will end up in a cell and the Drumpfs won't.
