Not sure how many people have already seen this. I stumbled across the tweet with embedded vid over at Hoarse Whisperer's feed. Video was directed by Spike Lee, performed by The Killers.
Personally? I was blown away. Fierce, effective, heartbreaking. An anthem of sorts.
Anyway, thought I'd post it here.

(11,435 posts)I nearly cried watching/listening to this.
I agree: beautiful, heartbreaking. And tragically true.

(23,952 posts)Beautiful...the people in the film. Heartbreaking...the broken promise to the tired, poor and those yearning to breathe free. True...all of it. Sitting here in the car crying waiting for my kiddo to finish his piano lesson

(17,650 posts)For many decades, we've sold the world on the idea of "the American dream", "land of opportunity", and I can't help but wonder how some can say those words with a straight face as we turn away, lock up, and separate families who actually believed that promise.

Makes me want to weep.
