Can we get him before he gets us?

The president of the United States can order a nuclear strike. If the Pentagon obeys his order, we could end up in a "Mad Max" world or worse. Chances are, the Pentagon will not obey the madman.

Either way, Trump will not go quietly. Not so long as he holds the power of the presidency. But somehow, someway, that power must be nullified quickly and effectively. How can that be done? Beats me.

But assuming he can be removed from office without some kind of disaster, what then?

His tweeting won't stop. His minions won't desert him. (One third of Americans think he's better than the second coming.) His power won't be completely gone. His tweets will sustain his power.

Assuming we can toss the madman out of the White House, it won't be over. Those who back him will not accept the fact that he will no longer be in power.

So here's the bottom line. If he stays in power, America is fucked beyond repair. If he's thrown from power, his minions will not accept it. And it will get very ugly very quickly.

This is a scenario that is likely and one that we must be prepared for. Even out of power, the madman will still have the power to destroy our society. And I, for one, don't know how to stop him.

1. I have hoped that Robert Mueller

has so much damning information, that he will send in the Federal Marshals to cuff him and arrest him in the Oval Office.

I know that's a fantasy. But I think Mueller absolutely knows how dangerous this man is and he is going to do all the big indictments (Jared, Junior, Ivanka, Pence?) at once so that tRump doesn't have time to respond. And I can't see, if there is enough to indict him, why the DOJ won't OK it. We do still have Rosenstein on our team.

2. I'm thinking we should expect the Mad Max thing

I'll be happy as hell to be wrong, but I just feel we're about an ass-hair away from society just collapsing entirely if there's some kind of incident, natural or man-made. There's so much damage that's done already, and I don't see this situation resolving without significant disruption.
