Something about that's why Trump has this frantic need for the $6B

(7,577 posts)I am not a supply chain expert, but no one stockpiles that much specifically designed steel unless they have some type of assurances that they will get the contract. Obviously it will be done in increments, but that still means a hell of a lot of expenditures by the supplier just to provide materials for what one might call Stage 1. There is no way I would do it, unless I had been assured by some high ranking official (not necessarily of the USA) that the deal would go through.
See where I am going with that?
