Sorry, my take is it doesn't become a human being until it has been born. I called my beloved child "my little parasite" until he was born.

The emphasis is on "some" punishment ...

Kennedy held that the Bible should set our laws about rape and abortion. Kennedy is very explicit on this point, saying “In the Bible, the child of rape was allowed to live and the rapist was put to death. Today, we find that the penalties against rape have become more and more lenient, whereas the child is now the subject of capital punishment. Justice has been totally destroyed and perverted in that the guilty are practically allowed to go free and the innocent are killed.” This fits with Kennedy’s general view that we should “rebuild America based on the Bible.”

9. Woman. Repeat after me. Woman.

Somehow Paul Ryan managed to write a 1500 word essay about abortion and never once used the word "woman." like she's not part of the equation...or not a real human being. Actually, that's it. Not a human, just a vessel for the Sacred Unborn. Tupperware for zygotes.
Forcing a woman to risk her life and health to give her rapist/molester the gift of his very own child is cruel and unusual punishment. To someone who has already endured the most heinous of crimes. Got that, Todd Akin? Paul Ryan? Mitt Romney?
We're going to remind you repeatedly every day until Nov. 6 and beyond.

These people are truly sick psychopaths... and the sad part is.. they are running our country...

I'm sure the guy that shot up the theater in Aurora Co probably had the same conversation in his mind...

his explanation before he got huge backlash suggested that we (women) don't exist except as an incubator. At least that is how a rape-survivor hears it.
