Perry set to throw South Carolina to Romney.

Contrary to suggestions last night, Rick Perry tweets he's not dropping out of the presidential race after all:

"And the next leg of the marathon is the Palmetto State...Here we come South Carolina!!!"

falls to Santorum.

With Perry in, he'll pull a percentage of Rick's vote -- conceivably enough to hand Romney the lead

He has no prayer in NH. On the other hand, SC's primary is all about the evangelical base, with whom he has a lot of cred. It's true that he'll have to battle Santorum for their support, but Santorum is a Catholic and there are fewer places where Catholicism plays less well than in the SC GOP. If he's going to make a last stand, SC is the obvious place.
