Bill Kristol (eek!) seems to be just about the only skeptic tonight on teevee, and HE is saying that Whitaker was trying to influence Mueller with that statement -- that it was strategic.
Are we to think there are no more indictments coming?
What's going on?
We know that some cases may still be handed off.
And that House investigations will begin.
I don't like muddied waters.

(17,984 posts)Someone put him up to it, and he just followed the order. That's not an excuse; that's just more ammunition to use against the nasties who convinced him he should do it. I just can't believe we have an AG so deficient in understanding protocol that he willingly goes on TV and says this. Then again, in the Rump's mind, this called Being Best.
