Schools have been ordered closed here until Thursday as dangerous wind chills grip Minnesota. Warnings that Frostbite can occur within minutes, even if one is dressed accordingly. Warnings issued that pets should not be left outside more than a few minutes to do their business.
Yet, the Southern Hemisphere is experiencing record heat waves that is killing animals, plant life where it stands. Extremes in weather cycles is never good.

Yes, they have evolved to survive cold, but this might be too much for Kansas critters.
