Stay warm, DU

I'm going to bed praising the benefit of an electric blanket tonight from Florida where it might dip into the High 30's and I've got the nerve to complain.

I'm sorry and lucky.

To all of you in for some truly cold conditions you have my warm thoughts and sympathies tonight.

She is a long haired Chihuahua so maybe it goes along with being naturally lean with little fat to warm her up.

My other dog lived in hers and was fatter than my current one. My mom even knitted a little pink sweater with Channel styling for out trip to France (where it snowed 5 times in 4 weeks). She rubs up against the furniture to rub and scratch. I have 3 more sweaters and shirts (hoping one would be tolerable) but she was bothered by all of them. So when she sits there shaking I just wrap a blanket around her or put the space heater right next to her until she is well done but not burnt.

when the humidity is high it makes the hot hotter and the cold colder. I'm in the Panhandle and it's always humid.

I have not turned on my furnace so far and may do so for only an hour to let it get some use. I have not worn a jacket yet this winter. I love cold weather more than hot weather.

I have not worn a jacket all winter. I love the cold more than hot weather, as long as the Florida sun is out.
