Schultz Walks Back Denunciation Of Medicare For All As 'Un-American'

By Kate Riga
January 30, 2019 9:24 am

Former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz walked back his denunciation of Medicare for all Tuesday night, downgrading his insult from “un-American” to “unaffordable.”

“It’s not that it’s not American,” Schultz told CNN’s Poppy Harlow. “It’s unaffordable.”

“What I believe is that every American has the right to affordable health care as a statement,” he added.

Schultz giveth, Schultz taketh away. To replace Medicare for all, he labeled a new thing un-American during the interview: that Dreamers don’t have a pathway to citizenship.

Read more on Schultz’s consistent verbal tic here.

Malcolm Nance said as much this morning on Stephanie Miller. Whatever his motives...and we WILL find out what they are...they aren’t for the best interest of average Americans. That alone should disqualify him.

For some reason I get a craving for an Arby’s occasionally. And I absolutely never eat any other fast food, ever. Why is that?

I don't think he's a Russian or trump plant... he's just got a giant ego that thinks his own views should be soooooo heard. And he's trying to protect his money.

It is affordable. He is a fraud and needs to be IGNORED. Thus, the media will continue to fawn over him.

For starters, a "right" to healthcare is not the same as healthcare. We all of us already have a "right" to as much healthcare as we can afford. What we want and need is ACCESS to affordable and sufficient healthcare. Not once, has Schultz given any details about his proposal about healthcare, except he would have healthcare professionals work with congress. That is not a plan, much less a vision. Never says what, if any, private insurance would play.

Like Big Pharma wants to work with congress? Ha!!!

He should run for town council or something more to his level.
Maybe he'd learn a thing or two about public service.

If he wants to "reform" the Democratic Party -- run as a Democrat!

Another billionaire worried about the "radical left"... So obvious on the face of it. Honestly, I feel the same way about Bloomberg.
