(110,261 posts)Someone who wanted to adopt a baby would have a vested interest in being against abortion.

(44,558 posts)Take care of the backlog of unwanted children.
When you're done. If ever you will be done, we'll hear what you might have to say, if reality hasn't changed your mind by then.

(44,558 posts)Some is not all.
NOBODY unwilling to adopt, has the moral standing to talk about abortion.
And anybody who is "pro-life" and willing to ADOPT, has the moral responsibility to adopt more children, until there are no more orphans left to adopt.
Only then, when every single living child still on this earth has parents, do they have the moral standing to speak for those yet unborn.
Take care of the backlog.
Then we'll talk.

(44,558 posts)besides my two children that are flesh of my flesh, blood of my blood.
You and I have a higher moral ground to speak from, to defend a woman's right to choose.
We know the burden, the toil, the pleasure, and the satisfaction of pulling even one child from the hell of an unwanted pregnancy brought to term.
Kudos to you!

Not every pro-lifer CAN adopt. Just as every pro-lifer can't wage peace all of the time, or campaign against the death penalty constantly. We do what we can, though. Just as pro-choice people do, in support of their beliefs.
And, no, I'm not a Christian. Not in any way, shape, or form.
I don't think it's right, as you can probably discern, to tell anyone to shut up just because of their inability, or even their unwillingness, to do what YOU think should be required of them, in terms of their actions, or inactions.
