(89,247 posts)I always love it when people get interest and love for other communities and in turn they get the same love and support back.
shows that being multicultural isn't about being separate .
this actually puts him more into consideration for me as a possible primary vote.

(90,646 posts)...drown out Haman's name.
Simchas Torah is when the Torah scroll gets danced through the congregation.
But there are certainly other occasions to dance in a secular manner, especially in a congregation of younger people. In context, I jumped to a conclusion.

(58,724 posts)I'm fairly sure the video of Cory Booker dancing comes from a Purim party with Shmuley Boteach.

(10,893 posts)coming into 2020. 45 might be an idiot, but he has the advantage of being an incumbent politician. An incumbent is always tough to take down. He has more name recognition than any of the Dems who have announced so far, he has an online troll army behind him, and he probably has a fundraising advantage, too.

" have known and loved Cory Booker for 21 years. Ever since he walked into our Jewish student facility in Oxfords ancient city center almost accidentally more than two decades ago on the Jewish festival of Simchas Torah, we have been soul friends. I was Rabbi to the students and he was an African-American Rhodes scholar. Within days we were studying Torah together several times a week and hosting other students at our Kosher Soul Food dinners that Cory made with my wife, Debbie, at our home. Within a year Cory was so popular among our thousands of student members that he became the first ever non-Jewish president of a major Jewish student organization, The LChaim Society at Oxford, which I had founded in 1989."

When they go low, we go high.
Booker lives those words.
