Eventually we are going to have to pick a candidate

Thankfully we have a bit of time and right now we have to go through the gristmill of figuring out who that is going to be. The only thing I know is that we aren’t going to have a perfect candidate. We likely are going to have to push for them to change their position on something. But I think we need to be real careful about how much weight we give to these imperfections before we do settle on a candidate. It’s one thing to identify faults but we blow them completely out of proportion and we allow the opposition to absolutely divide us.

I am just so tired of that.

... that any of the ones running have done a thorough survey of their respective backgrounds before they start their campaigns. i don't want to see any racist/rapist yearbook crap biting us in the ass in August 2020. i will consider it a personal insult if/when, after all that's happened over the last four years, aspiring Democratic candidates don't conduct serious due diligence in self-assessment prior to contesting for the most solemn and respectable job of president, with the obligation of cleaning up Trump's mess and restoring dignity to a disgraced office. i will consider it a direct insult to, and attack upon, every Democratic voter by said candidate and their campaign staff should this happen, and while i will vote for that candidate in the general as necessary, i will remember damn well that they ratfucked us all on the way in.

2020 presidency is not a race the world can afford us losing. any Democrat who, through easily-avoidable negligence, makes that outcome more likely to happen over the next 2 years is not my ally.

Nobody trying to guilt people into voting for it, No TV stars, reality show stars, no 'vote for me and maybe I'll think of something', no indecisive geese, no noble losers. Also, never insult the voters.
