Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) dismissed a possible independent presidential campaign from Howard Schultz, calling the billionaire former Starbucks CEO a “total idiot,” CNN reports.

“While talking with voters in Iowa’s Dallas County after a farmers’ roundtable, the Ohio Democrat, who’s also considering a presidential bid, introduced himself to a voter who expressed concern about dark money in politics.”

Said Brown: “Yeah, I mean you got this idiot Schultz running, maybe. He’s an idiot. I mean, he’s a total idiot.”

I hope he runs! I guarantee you he did not stop off at Wall Street first to either secure funding for his campaign or allay any fears that rotten bunch of thieves might have about their rotten business as usual being disrupted like some other candidates I could name. He's a good man and I would fully support his campaign. I urge you all to look into his candidacy. He would win Ohio for obvious reasons, and would carry all of the so-called rust belt states namely Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan.

I had totally overlooked him until this week. I think he would be an excellent addition to the field, bringing a real world worker centric populism, which could be a winning message. He represents the heartland, which is very important for the Democratic party because losing it is what cost HRC the presidency. OK, she didn't lose it, it was stolen by Russian/Repug vote hacking and public media twisting.
