Look on the bright side. Raplh Northam can always go back to the G.O.P.

He was a Republican up until 2007 and he certainly was a Republican in 1984 when he wore blackface or donned a Klan uniform.

2. Spoken by someone who has no idea what Ralph Northam has fought for as governor.

earlier this week he is being torn apart by the RW for taking an uncompromising stance on a woman's right to choose. During his campaign he argued that Confederate monuments in the state should be moved out of public places. He stood up for gun control and for medicaid expansion. In other words, he took the opposite position of every Republican on earth on almost every issue.

I think he needs to resign, not because he is a bad man, but because his presence in office is distraction and a hindrance to the Democratic Party in Virginia in an election year. Democrats have a chance to gain control of the Virginia House and Senate this year and that needs to be the highest priority.

And, there are many other VA Dems who wouldn't do that as VA Gov.

Hard to know how things would've played out, but I cannot imagine him being able to get elected if this photo had been made public then.
