(2,133 posts)If you say Akin, Ryan needs to follow....the plan was to focus souly on Akin to deflect attention from Ryan...notice how all the Repubs are scrambling to keep the focus on Akin by condemning him. But it is backfiring...as Ryan has already been tied to him and the GOP is still moving ahead...again with it's total ban plank.

(40,416 posts)Akin flapped his gums, and Rove undoubtedly peed his pants when he heard of it. Certainly Rmoney and Ryan were horrified, along with many other prominent Republicans. Any other conjecture borders on the ridiculous.
Akin is a nightmare for the Republicans.
