that avoiding taxes was due to a lack of civic mindedness.
I'm inclined to agree.
If you love your country, you want it to be the best not just for one second but for the forseeable future.
That requires constant investment.

I swear, the GOP'ers are going to end up with a tax platform consisting of a $10,000 tax on everyone. Anything else is tax free, and if you can't cough up your 10k a year you get to work locked up in a for-profit prison.
