Just caught up on the Bezos/Pecker story. Why isn't Pecker in jail for attempted blackmail?

But is that like immunity to cooperating witnesses - that if they don't tell the truth about absolutely everything they can still be prosecuted and sent to prison? I suspect not and he will be in the same situation that Paul Manafort is in now.
