Is it just me or

does any one else think that all of the crazy and inane texts and ramblings coming from the president are just setting the foundation for an insanity plea in the future when he goes on trial? His lawyers will point to the texts, videos, pictures and say, what sane person would behave in this manner? Or they might say he is not responsible due to his dementia and refer to all of the exhibits.

Maybe be he is a genius (albeit an evil one).

there's mental illness and then there's what's needed for an insanity defense. unblock Feb 2019 #2

I think he's scared shitless because he's been running this con his entire life. And never been held accountable.

Now? Not looking good for the Trump family nor Trump enterprises.

Have grift will travel. Except the Trumpster has nowhere to run or hide.

sure, he's got a number of forms of mental illnesses.

but an insanity plea needs certain specific things. merely being a pathological liar or a megalomaniac or a sociopath isn't enough.

he knows right from wrong as evidenced by his fear and his evasions.

and he's perfectly capable of understanding what's going on in a trial and the consequences.

an insanity defense won't hold up.

what will happen, if he's actually indicted and tried and found guilty, is that he'll suddenly become too ill to go to prison and he'll be sentenced to house arrest in one of his mansions.

that's likely the best we can hope for.
