(1,588 posts)Oh well...
"However, Bezos investigators have strongly suspected Sanchez was the leaker since at least last week, according to two people familiar with the investigation. There is no one inside this inquiry process who doesnt believe hes ground zero, one of those sources said.
Abramowitz, the AMI lawyer, appeared to confirm this in his Sunday interview, saying, Any investigator that was going to investigate this knew who the source was."
I think that is pretty cut and dried.
The only thing not made clear is whether or not the sister was involved, and that is THE most important thing to establish here, because if it's found to be true, then what we have here is a Stone-driven, complex network of political hit teams who actually deploy women to ensnare a target sexually, and then ruin him with the evidence of the activities.
And because of what that implies, you can be certain that is the core secret which will be defended to the utmost.

Nothing new under the Sun, I just use Stone because he most accurately embodies the current infestation.
And is probably the architect here.

(20,148 posts)Even a 55 year old billionaires can go through mid-life crisis and get itchy. Bezos and Lauren Sanchez traveled in the same social circles and her brother might have given her the idea that it was time to trade up from her Hollywood agent husband.

Or maybe it was a half-baked extortion scheme she and her brother cooked up on their own with AMI as the middle man. Bezos is the richest guy on the planet. Some people are greedy and dumb enough to try ways like this to get some of his dough.

(20,148 posts)In addition, Sanchez said his acquaintance with longtime Republican political operative Roger Stone, who recently pleaded not guilty to charges of witness tampering and lying to Congress in Special Counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation, is irrelevant to the Bezos matter.
"My friendships are being used as a weapon against me, but the dots don't connect," said Sanchez, who also knows former Trump campaign foreign policy adviser Carter Page and is friends with top AMI executive Dylan Howard."

(296,867 posts)sense if Michael Sanchez is the one who leaked his sister's private texts to the enquirerer.
From your link..
And, this makes no sense..
Why would Michael Sanchez send his sister's private texts to the Enquirer if he believed that?!
PeeJ52
(1,588 posts)so he wanted to help the Enquirer? It's crazy... plus his sister is a Fox affiliate star and now she's getting interviewed on Fox News... They'll probably have exclusives with her to pump their ratings up. It's gonna be a circus...

(296,867 posts)Sanchez is calling out the Enquirerer and trump for going after Bezos.. ".. it was pursuing this story with trump's knowledge and appreciation.." , and mocking "republican operatives".

(14,907 posts)and given that the sources for this article are supposedly people with knowledge of the workings of the National Enquirer/AMI, their motives in giving this info to a reporter are extremely suspect.
This story looks to me like AMI trying to shift attention and blame away from the criminal behavior they engaged with after getting the info, and focus people's attention and ire on the source (either the true one or a patsy).
DeminPennswoods
(15,265 posts)regular guest said another Dailybeast reporter worked at AMI and knows how the company operates. Apparently AMI tried to intimidate him and/or Dailybeast, too. Not sure if he's the author of this story, but he would likely have friendly contacts inside AMI.

(7,142 posts)So was the lover married? If so I assume she lived with her husband, I assume she didn't live with her brother. How did her brother get possession of her phone unless she was involved?
SDNY needs to investigate these sleeze balls. Also, Pecker was looking for money, did Saudi Arabia give Pecker money? I read where Pecker bought out one of his competitors, where did he get the money?
Finally, why the hell is Saudi Arabia considered our ally?
