CAMDEN, Ark. (AP) A grocery store chain is facing criticism after it sent out a weekly ad to stores in Arkansas and Louisiana that included the message: Heaven has a wall.
The Macs Cashsaver ad was distributed in the Arkansas cities of Camden, Magnolia and El Dorado, and in northern Louisiana.
The front page of the ad featured promotions for food products and included the text: Heaven has a wall, a gate and a strict immigration policy. Hell has open borders. Let that sink in.
The company describes itself as family-owned and Christian. Jack Digby is the manager of a Macs Cashsaver in Camden. He says hes fielded dozens of angry calls over the ad.

(15,349 posts)they think it's going to be them that are going to "decide" who gets into heaven.
I want to be there to see the look on their faces when they find out they're fucking wrong.
I'm not sure if there is a heaven or a hell, but I know for a fact that can keep heaven if these are the assholes I am going to have to live with.

(20,018 posts)Is "Christian" defined by...
1) How the bible says they SHOULD act, or
2) By how most of the really vocal ones DO act?

(47,567 posts)it is really bad business. How many customers will these fools lose because of that horrible ad? May they get exactly what they deserve.

(20,210 posts)I imagine that attitude is pretty common. Of course, anyone in the grocery business, or frankly anyone who EATS, who has a problem with "illegals" is a fucking hypocrite. Who picks the produce he sells? Who guts the chickens he's selling for less than $1 a pound. It sure as hell isn't American citizens.

(47,567 posts)Even though the stores are in a red state, there still are rational, reasonable people who buy food in that state. Discriminating against your customers based on religion, race, or politics is flat out stupid.

(9,894 posts)showed up on my Facebook, same saying, different background, and I thought it was the second dumbest thing I'd ever seen from that ilk.
The dumbest was some pictures of people burning the American flag that someone purported to be the caravaners doing the burning. At closer look it was obviously well-fed European-Americans wearing t-shirts from some anarchist group (I looked it up, but I forget the group name) doing the burning. Guatemalans, Hondurans or Mexicans they were NOT. That still pisses me off. The purporting, not the burning. I can't believe people fall for this sh*t.
