PPP Poll: Obama leads 50% to 45% in Virginia

Why is this important? Because we (in No. VA) have been DELUGED with political ads for several months, mostly Romney-supporting PACs and Romney approved ads (maybe 3 to 1 for Obama, and all full of lies), on many TV channels. I hope this suggests that money is NOT buying this election. Of course, one poll alone isn't enough to rely on, but it still is good news.

From the article:

"Rep. Paul Ryan may have made his official debut as Mitt Romney's running mate in Virginia, but he has not yet made a big impression on Virginia voters, according to a new poll.

President Obama continues to lead Mitt Romney in a new poll from Democratic-leaning Public Policy Polling, 50 percent to 45 percent. Six weeks ago, Obama led another PPP poll of Virginia, 50 percent to 42 percent.
...

'President Obama has consistently led by five or more points in Virginia, and it may prove to be his firewall," said Dean Debnam, president of PPP, in a release. "Romney essentially cannot win without it.'"

3. They have done that. But the new voter ID law is less draconian because VA is one of 16 states

found guilty of violations of the Voting Rights Act in the past. You can't vote provisionally without ID anymore, but there are a lot of things that qualify as voter ID (e.g., a utility bill), and the state is sending to all registered voters a new copy of their voter registration card soon. I'm sure you are right that there will be other voter suppression efforts.

Considering that President Obama took the state by 6.3% in 2008. I wonder if he will win Virginia by a greater margin this time. That's my only question.
